The ECO-Stars

Schools work towards gaining ECO-Star awards for projects executed on 4 different categories; i.e. Environmental Health, Waste Management, Energy-saving and Water Management projects.

The 1st ECO-Star Award is self-accredited through this website.

From the 2nd ECO-Star onwards, it requires documentation and evidence related to the proposed project.

There is also an ECO-Shooting Star Award which symbolizes excellence in the field of environmental activity. To qualify for this level, the school has to have completed at least one project from each category plus having successfully collaborated and completed a project with an existing ECO-School or help a START-UP School.
